What wax do you use in your candles?
We use locally sourced pure beeswax, and in select candles, we blend in a touch of coconut wax for enhanced performance. Each candle is hand-poured in small batches to ensure a non-toxic, clean burn and a beautifully refined finish.

Why are Róa Candles unscented?
Róa Candles are intentionally unscented to keep the experience pure, minimal, and gentle. We also choose to keep our candles free from synthetic fragrances, which may pose potential health concerns when inhaled over prolonged periods. This makes them ideal for sensitive spaces, allergy-friendly environments, and calm everyday rituals where you simply want a clean, natural glow.

Why does the candle have a “frosted” look after a long time?
This is completely normal and is called wax blooming or frosting. It happens naturally over time due to temperature changes and the wax crystallizing. It does not affect the candle’s quality, burn, or performance.

How do I get the best burn from my candle?
For the best experience:

Trim the wick to 5mm before every burn

Let the wax melt edge-to-edge on the first burn (about 1–2 hours)

Avoid burning for more than 3–4 hours at a time
This prevents tunneling and helps your candle last longer.

Are your candles safe to use indoors?
Yes—our candles are made with carefully sourced ingredients and tested for a clean, steady burn. Always burn in a well-ventilated space and follow basic candle safety (never leave unattended).

What types of experiences do Róa Candles offer?
We offer two types of hands-on experiences:

Candle-making workshops for kids and adults (minimum 10 participants), designed to be fun, creative, and beginner-friendly.

Live candle stations for events (minimum 50 guests), where guests can walk up, personalize their candles on the spot, and take them home.
We take care of everything—from materials to full setup. All we require from the venue is tables or a cart counter and a power connection.

Will my candle look exactly like the photos?
Since every Róa Candle is handmade, minor variations in color and design may occur. This is completely normal and part of the charm of handcrafted pieces.
